
Students are required to select a building from available resources (architecture magazines, books, websites & etc.) or Design Studio 2 Project. Then, create a complete model of the selected architectural design using 3DS Max or Rhinoceros or a combination of both.

1. Extrude the wall 2. Extrude the steps on floor

1.Extrude the Timber Beams 2.Cut the beams by using MakeHole method.

1.Draw the beam(on the other side) by using Polyline from elevation.

1.Connect both side by using Polyline. 2.Fillet is using as well.

1. Align with elevation.

Done!

1.Extrude the beams from plan. 2.Scale1D the upper part and MakeHole from plan (the beams are placed in different angle)

1. Rotate the beams to different angles.

1.Create a Surface in between. 2.Split & Delete the unwanted part (to make it clean).

1.Extrude the walls from plan.

1.Draw a rectangular. 2.MakeHole

1.Draw line on the midpoints along the hole.

2.ExtrudeCurve for the frame.

1. Polyline draws along the midpoint of the frame. 2.ExtrudeCurve to make glass.

1.Insert a rectangular which same size with the door. 2.BooleanDifference to create the hole for sliding door.

1.Done with siding door.

1.MakeHole for the frame. 2.Fence are done by using square curve, extrusion of the square curve to become cuboid and splitting of the solid and cuboid extrusion.

1. Set C-plane to the roof angle by creating a surface. 2. Draw another set of surface to cover the roof. Then, extrude the surface to form thickness.

1.Import contour line from AutoCad. 2.Elevate contour line to specific height in side view. Then, make line to dot selection and Patch the lines.
