Fettucine Truss Bridge
30% of Final Mark
In a group of 5, design and build a fettucine bridge of 350mm clear span and maximum weight of 80g. In order to achieve a high efficiency, material strength and structural analysis of truss should be made.
By calculating the force distribution in the truss, students able to understand the tension and compressive strength of construction. Besides, by knowing the strength of truss, students able to determine which members to be strengthen and eliminated. Thus, construct a high level of aesthetic value and also minimize the construction materials in real life.
